50 years of quality

From our beginnings in Norfolk England in 1969, we have always been about
Labradors who were true to type and breed characteristics.

In our very first litter born in England
ENG CH Ballyduff Hollybranch of Keithray ‘Ben’ x Shenandoah Jet Lady ‘Dusty’
we produced our first  AKC Champion Shenandoah Spritely Diana
Proud to bring the beautiful Ballyduff heritage to the USA
we continued with Ben x Dusty granddaughters,
AKC CH Shenandoah Ebon Echo ‘ Tuppence’
AKC CH Shenadoah Sea Sprite
AKC CH Ballyduff Barnes of Shenandoah, imported, who finished as WD LRC Potomac 1979

Our latest AKC CH was born in 2004 and co-bred with Jeannette & Jim Scott,
AKC CH Twinholly’s Yellow Submarine ‘ Cooper’

We’ve also produced obedience titled dogs, among them
Shenandoah Dinar Tite, CD, CDX
Shenandoah Larkspur CD
Shenandoah Maid Marion CD.

Generations of Shenandoah Labradors have hunted with Andy and his brothers & nephews in Virginia.

We had some fun in UKC producing 40 titles in 8 generations of Show Champions and Grand Show Champions

Our legacy rests today with our 175 + Labradors of Shenandoah Service Dogs and
Service Dog Sires and Dams still producing and changing people’s lives in the positive way
that only a Labrador can. Visit our Service Dog page.

WE STILL OFFER STUD SERVICE TO APPROVED FEMALES.

JOIN US IN CELEBRATING 50 YEARS OF QUALITY LABRADORS in 2019 !

I
n a world where few remain in pure-bred dogs for more than 5 years, we are immensely grateful for the
50 years we have shared our lives with Labradors
AND all the friends brought into our lives by dogs.

Having Labradors is a way of life
to which we are dedicated.  And to each other.
Our dogs brought us together.

We remember with great fondness & humility
our mentor,  Bridget Docking of Ballyduff.

We are more than grateful for the
inspiration and dedication of the late
Doreen Anderson & her vision of the ideal Labrador

About our logo:
the original Shenandoah logo was drawn by the late Doreen Anderson
it represents the Shenandoah love of Black and Yellow labradors
the black labrador is CH Ballyduff Barnes of Shenandoah
the yellow labrador is Strinesdale Melody
the whimsical duckling represents our labradors as bird dogs, gentle, biddable, kind
the yellow oval was added by Marti’s daughter, Jessica Barbour
our motto and 50 year celebration were added this year
